About Us

QMO8 is a team of seasoned executives, led by founder Fred Macaraeg, who has launched (and relaunched) businesses in Japan for small and mid-sized North American and European software companies.

 

Fred was the first hire and Japan Country Manager for companies like Aurum (acquired by Baan), Pivotal (acquired by CDC Software), Rightnow (acquired by Oracle) and Kapow (acquired by Kofax). He also held leadership positions at established businesses—Salesforce (VP of Alliances, Japan) and MICROS Systems (Managing Director, Japan).

 

Fred is supported by Taka Nakajima, with 30 years of experience in sales and marketing of various IT products: network solutions at KEL, ERP software at Dunn & Bradstreet Software, and front and back office solutions at Ashisuto. Taka also has extensive experience in partnerships with Japan’s major IT vendors such as NEC, Fujitsu, and Hitachi.

 

Shuya Muromoto completes the third pillar, bringing his expertise in local recruitment and human resources along with sales and marketing of HR software solutions. Shuya is our “ear to the ground”—finding human capital who's the perfect fit through his extensive network of clients with staffing needs.
